Recent events, such as the catastrophic Gulf Coast Hurricanes, are a reminder of just how important it is for local governments to account for, organize and utilize city employees to assist in disaster response. In San Francisco , all City & County employees are Disaster Service Workers and may be called upon to assist in emergency operations.
