SACRAMENTO, Calif. Feb. 22, 2007 – The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation had a backlog of their transcriptions from parole board hearings.  The ramifications were significant, impacting their system and requiring a solution.

Capture Technologies, Inc.  will provide a superior recording system moving the CDCR from analog to digital technology, enabling easier handling of files.  The Marantz recorder can be monitored while recording to insure clarity. “We are increasing their number of microphones to improve the quality of the recordings as well as including a Shure auto mixer which will decrease background noise providing the department with a superior end product, resulting in the power to transcribe quickly and accurately”, informed Lou Parrague, President of Capture Technologies.

To further assist with the implementation Capture will provide training for some of the CDCR staff on the set-up of the products in order to provide a seamless transition to the new system that will cost close to $200,000.

Capture Technologies, headquartered in Oakland, is a leading West Coast supplier of ID solutions, Voice and Network products required by healthcare providers, public safety, educational and governmental organizations.
