Oakland, Calif. – January 27, 2010 - Capture Technologies, a leading provider of security integration and identification services, has teamed with SRI International to offer Aware Mobile Networks, a powerful communications solution for situational awareness over a secure, independent network.  Aware™ Mobile Networks leverages customers’ existing infrastructure to maximize public safety, security, and surveillance resources.

Aware™ is a distributed situational awareness software package that runs on standard vehicle-mounted laptops. Its instant, portable, wireless network allows organizations such as public safety agencies or school campuses, to communicate more effectively during emergency situations by sharing live video feeds, GPS locations and other tactical information. Aware’s wireless digital communications platform helps to improve response time and enhance security by allowing first responders on the scene to easily share critical information with personnel at other locations.

“SRI is looking forward to working with Capture Technologies to provide public safety professionals with the Aware™ solution to help advance their security needs,” said Paul Callahan, business operations manager for SRI International’s Direct Technology group. “SRI and Capture Technologies will work together to meet current security requirements and future trends in the public safety and security industries.”

“Capture is very pleased to be representing solutions from an organization as advanced and accomplished as SRI”, said CEO of Capture Technologies, Lou Parrague . “SRI’s offerings fit well with our current solutions.”

SRI’s Aware™ solution is currently available through Capture Technologies.
